  • Isle of Wight 2023 Day 3

    Tue 13 Jun 2023

Here are some great photos of today!  We faced the challenges of the climbing wall, we used brain and team work during some tricky problem solving challenges.  Our map work skills were used during orienteering and a wonderful afternoon was had by ALL board boarding with our excellent instructors in the water on the beach.  It was enormous fun, jumping and somersaulting off and riding our body boards!  Everybody took the plunge!!

  • Isle Of Wight 2023 - Day 2

    Tue 13 Jun 2023

Tuesday has dawned, bright and beautiful! EVERYBODY enjoyed a good night's sleep. Much fun was had yesterday: orienteering around the whole site, working as a team to traverse our way across the nightline, swooping up and down on the 3G swing and competitive trampolining in Aeroball.

Monday finished with a wonderful walk along the coastal path up to the Culver monument where we enjoyed panoramic views across the Solent to the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth along the Hampshire coast. Our circular route past remains of World War 2 battlements and a beacon to commemorate the defeat of the Spanish Armada.

Into the evening the children enjoyed a bit of free time, playing ball games and being amongst each other.

Today, we are looking forward to an assortment of different problem solving activities, climbing high and taking a dip whilst bodyboarding in the sea.

  • Day 1 Yr 6 residential - Isle of Wight

    Mon 12 Jun 2023

Following an excellent night's sleep for all children we have awoken to a bright and sunny morning at Bembridge! Yesterdays journey went well. We all enjoyed the views of the Solent from the ferry and the beautiful green countryside.

On arrival, we met our instructor and settled into our lodges.  Straight after that, we hit the ground running and went into our afternoon activities.  Dinner was a hearty meal of chicken, wedges, veg and ice cream.  We then competed in the Mini Olympics with our two instructors working brilliantly in teams to complete weird and wacky races!

Children then played rounders, volleyball and football before settling down to some quiet circle time before tucking ourselves up into bed.

ALL children are happy and enjoying themselves.  Today, we will be busy with nightline, 3G swing areoball, problem solving, bush craft and an obstacle course.

After our evening meal we will be walking to the Culver monument to enjoy the views.
